Art
Our Art curriculum is designed to inspire creativity, curiosity and self-expression while meeting the aims of the National Curriculum. Through engaging, hands-on experiences, pupils develop the knowledge, skills and confidence to experiment, invent and create their own works of art.
Children explore a wide range of artists, designers and cultures, learning to think critically about their own work and that of others. We encourage every pupil to demonstrate resilience, respect and pride in their creative journey, fostering a lifelong appreciation of art and its role in enriching our lives and communities.

Our Art Curriculum
Each year at Leavesden, our school hall is transformed into a spectacular Whole School Art Gallery, showcasing the incredible creativity, talent, and dedication of every pupil in our school.
Our pupils create their own unique pieces of art and we come together as a school to share and celebrate our masterpieces. We are proud to share our work from 3 units across the year, sketching, painting and sculpture. The gallery really does reflect the hard work and progress from every year group and it is wonderful to see our children take such pride in their work.
Parents and carers are invited in to see our masterpieces and the smiles, excitement, and sense of accomplishment makes this a very special week in the Leavesden calendar!
