A little bit about me
Originally from Lancashire, I have lived in the Watford area for over 15 years. I work for British Telecom as a flexible full time working mother within a sales management role.
I am a married mother of two daughters, one of which is in the juniors and the other in the infants at Leavesden Green. I have a BA Hons in Business Studies and a Diploma in Marketing, which was the last time I was actively involved in education, over 10 years ago!
I have been delighted to be able to take an active role in the running of the school, by becoming a Parent Governor in 2012, stepping up to Vice Chair in September 2014 and having the privilege of becoming Chair in September 2015.
Over the past three years I have gained a great understanding and appreciation of the hard work, challenges and amazing sense of school community that exists with Leavesden Green JMI school. I am passionate about being able to make a difference and support the education and school life of our young people.
I have taken the Link governor role of Mathematics, so that we ensure as a governing body we are fully aware of how our school is approaching Mathematics and the impact our curriculum is having directly on our children.
Our school is an amazing place to be and we have some exciting times ahead to strive to ensure Leavesden is an outstanding school to give our children and community the best possible learning experience.
